DENVER (AP) - A Colorado man convicted in the deadly shooting of a teenager in the parking lot of a McDonald's restaurant in west Denver has been sentenced to 30 years in prison.

The Denver Post reports 22-year-old Francisco Gonzalez was sentenced last week after pleading guilty in July to second-degree murder in the death of 17-year-old Steve Soledad-Lopez.

The Denver District Attorney's office says Gonzalez's car collided with the teen's car in the parking lot in November. Gonzalez then shot the teen and fled.

Soledad-Lopez died at a hospital from his wounds.

Gonzalez left Colorado on a bus to California. He was arrested in Las Vegas when his bus made its scheduled stop.
